There is one thing modern there, it's only small so you probably missed it, but it's definitely 21st century, can you guess what it is yet ?

It's my phone.

Blimey, that's fantastic. If I had an Irish list, that would definitely need to be on it. Wow.

You'll have to get yourself an irish list then, it's a lovely, lovely place [ and i don't like catholics ].

It's bad enough trying to cope with an England/Wales/Scotland list. If I ever get to Ireland, I'll have to think about it then!

Well i'll be, the circles around those beautiful mountains are marking a very, very special place indeed as one of the main entrances to the world of the fairy world is reputed to be in llyn y fan fach [ it bubbles ], so is therefore one of the most important places in wales [if not the country or even the world!!!], and when you look at the stone circles around it you start it realise how old that belief was, the last time me and a friend had mushrooms was at nant tarn on 23 june 2009 [ i had been twice before], when they started having an effect, my dog looked at us both and ran, he was found 2 days later 17 miles away so he must have kept on running [ he was spotted just after he left back at the parking though ], after we had been at the circles awhile, we decided to go look for Bannau sir gaer, we got about halfway, but then couldn't stop laughing for about 3 hours, i then realised the sun was about to set, we had nothing with us, just t shirts and shorts, my friend said he was off into the mountains, i said go into the mountains then, i'm off back to the van [ i knew that if i didn't go then, i wouldn't get back to the van at all for darkness ], he then stomped off, and i like an animal i headed back to the van, look my friend had had a lot of problems on lots of levels, he got back to the van at 2.30 in the morning after been guilded by some people with some scouts that were camped in the mountains, a very different man, apart from seeing the people he remembers nothing!!! he no longer has ANY problems and is in a lot of ways a different person, i think he may even be a changling!!! whatever you think, that whole area is a place i know very well and one of the most important places in the whole country, Bannau sir gaer isn't as good a stone circle but beats it's position though don't you think [ if you haven't been, i hope it's on your list ]. Your taste is impeccable sir, if i do say so myself!

You can't leave ireland out of the picture [ i'm sure you won't ], as the monuments are the same as on the rest of these islands, the lines that are there now, weren't there then, it's something quite close to my heart that ireland isn't part of great britain [ probably because i am related to cromwell on my mums side ], the place is amazing, just accept that one day it will grab you by the curly wurlies.

That's the problem, too little time and money to get over-ambitious.

If I could climb every Welsh and English 2000ft mountain, walk around the Welsh (and maybe Cornish) coast and visit as many places in between as I can, that'll be a start (or a finish!)

Hopefully it ends at good old fashioned great british stone circles for me, so that bits easy for me, as going abroad feels like i'm looking in the wrong direction, french eggs aren't for me, and chambered cairns are great but not stone circles, although some of them lron age stone circles in sweden and denmark look nice, places like Blomsholm in sweden, they are known as judges rings, which is interesting, but everything i need is within these islands [ i have a soft stop for brittany though but the clues in the name ].

Well as you get older the stone circles are easier than the mountains, so when the mountain days are over you can save a lot of the circles for later life, you'll do what you said above faster than you think, hamstring willing of course. Ireland can't not call because that's one strong willed lady there.
