Rose Windows

Released 2015 on Sub Pop

Psychedelic folk with drifting, layered vocal harmonies meets bluesy, late night rock with searching lyrics which are very fitting for the current, tumultuous times, especially the examination of the underbelly of American capitalism on “Strip Mall Babylon”. Plus, the greatest song The Doors never wrote–“Old Crow”–with its tribal chants and desert vibes, belongs in a movie.

The standout song is “Come Get Us Again”, such a poignant ballad which sounds perfect driving out on the open road.

Rose Windows is such an underrated band and this is, for now, their final album. Highly Recommended.
