Insignificance

Queasy.

Obscene octopus-on-man action.

Small duck heads.
Unforgiveable moustaches.
Well, that’s the packaging, what’s the music like?
Jim clearly likes his upside down guitars and playing rock tunes back to front. He also seems to have a fondness for the odd xylophone, trumpet and pedal steel interlude, all of which makes this CD odd but familiar.
If you know the work of Gastr Del Sol (the Jim O’Rourke / David Grubbs, er, “supergroup”), then nothing on this disc will change you views on life but if not, this is as good an entree into the American leftfield as any.
