Over two evenings, Julian Cope, author of The Modern Antiquarian, takes us on a tour of Ancient Britain and Europe. Spoken word and music will be used to show that Odin, renowned as the warlike Allfather of the Vikings, existed at the heart of European culture from prehistoric times, with vestiges of his influence surviving to the 19th century. Through Scandinavian myths and European languages, via churches, temples and law centres, of the British Isles and Mainland Europe, Julian Cope reclaims for Odin his original reputation as poet, priest and nurturer of early European culture.
