The Subway Sect

Nobody’s Scared/Don’t Split It

Released 1978 on Braik

I’d agree that this is a killer 7″ and much played over the years. I was out browsing for records on Saturday and came across a recent double CD compilation of Subway Sect stuff, mostly off the first 2 albums, but featuring both sides of the single, plus another version of Nobody’s scared. A mixed experience, as some of the stuff is throwaway, but the first 2 singles are always worthwhile, as is the pathos of “Make me sad”. Bearing Julian’s comments in mind — double CD of 150 mins for 11.99 ‑can’t be bad!! “vic goddard& the subway sect — Twenty odd years — the story of” on Motion Records
