Suddenly it’s here! A new Brain Donor album? It’s like we’d all almost given up on DRAIN’D BONER’s sequel ever surfacing. Cope talked about WASTED FUZZ EXCESSIVE a lot, then silence … BLACK SHEEP came and went, and suddenly it’s here. Why the hold-up? One track — an enormous behemoth of a steaming soul riff — needed a brass arrangement. This took a fucking age. It kept getting cancelled. It kept getting cancelled again. Anyway, it’s suddenly here. WASTED FUZZ EXCESSIVE. Utterly balls to the wall, lyrically bananas but full of such oomph, such Mr E‑driven acceleration that — despite its full-metal leanings — the Donor of 2009CE remains entirely itself.
